This isn’t about talent – it’s about mindful observation and intentional creation: What’s happening within you, and what’s happening around you.
In exchange with others, a special energy emerges – inspiring new perspectives and connections.
Workshop Content
Introduction to Art Therapy
“Every journey begins with a single brushstroke.”
In our first session, we explore the foundations of artistic expression and how creative methods can make emotions and inner dynamics visible.
Using simple painting and drawing techniques, you’ll discover how colours and shapes can reflect your inner world and support your self-awareness.
Expressing Emotions Through Art
“Let your creativity speak.”
This session focuses on expressing feelings through artistic creation. With a range of materials and techniques, you’ll learn how to process and transform emotions in a new way. The emphasis is on the process, not the final artwork – it’s about mindfulness and perception.
Art as a Path to Self-Care
“Give your inner voice some space.”
We focus on how art therapy can support stress relief and emotional stability.
With creative methods, you’ll integrate calm and mindfulness into your daily life – developing personal rituals that will accompany you beyond the workshop. You’ll leave with an effective tool to help you find your balance when life gets loud.
Creative Expression for Personal Growth
“Shape your own path.”
Creative expression as a way to reconnect with yourself and support personal development. You’ll reflect on your experiences from the previous sessions and set creative intentions for your future. This session offers a shared starting point for an individual journey towards more mindfulness and meaning.
Refresher-Session
Three months after the workshop, we’ll meet again to share experiences and refresh your creative routines.
This session is designed to keep you motivated and provide space for questions and new inspiration.

Booking and Practical Information
Please book the four weekly sessions and the Refresher Session by email.
What to bring:
You're welcome to bring your own paints, pencils, and paper.
Paper and additional materials will be provided free of charge for all participants.
Watercolour sets and blank art journals are available for purchase at the practice.
Fees and Booking Info
Costs are generally covered by health insurance as part of resilience, strength-building, or relapse prevention support.
If you need assistance obtaining cost approval from your health insurer, we’re happy to help.
Location
The workshops take place in person at beosana practice, Hochstrasse 31, 4053 Basel
as well as in an audio-only hybrid format, so you can also join remotely.
